Recap: IMA Germany Regional Event Munich – June 2016

posted Sep 21, 2016, 9:32 AM by Germany ima   [ updated Sep 21, 2016, 9:34 AM ]

On behalf of the Munich regional group, I would like to thank Niko Kaden and applaud him for his very insightful presentation on “Best-Practice EVA”. Despite initial “healthy skepticism” on the part of the audience due to the newness of this approach, Mr. Kaden could convince them that this KPI system can indeed integrate all functions and departments and align them in maximizing the economic profit. The lively discussions were continued at a local Biergarten. Follow-up and more in-depth presentations are planned.

IMA Germany Regional Event in Munich 29th June: Corporate (Performance) Management with Best-Practice EVA

posted May 20, 2016, 7:57 AM by Germany ima   [ updated Jun 17, 2016, 9:36 AM ]

Dear IMA Members, finance professionals and friends of the IMA,
my name is Florian Kohfink and I am the new regional coordinator in the Munich/Nuremberg area of IMA Germany e.V. I would like to use the opportunity to thank David Fairchild, from whom I have taken over the coordinator role, for his continued and relentless commitment.

We are planning our first Regional Event 2016 in Munich with a very interesting topic on Corporate Performance Management (CPM). During the session we will get an introduction to the CPM solution “Best-Practice EVA”. EVA, which stands for Economic Value-Added, measures the true economic profit that remains after setting aside a full cost of-capital charge, including a priority return for managers. EVA motivates managers to invest capital carefully and accountably and rewards them for turning assets faster and running leaner business models. It also tells them to innovate, invest and grow above the cost of capital, even if existing rates of returns or margins come down. Unlike ROI, its pro-profitable growth. Andrew Liveris, Chairman, President & CEO von Dow Chemical calls Best-Practice EVA a “game changer” (https://youtu.be/HbHW3jt8b2Q). Niko H. Kaden, President of IMA Germany e.V. and Partner at Virtagon International will provide insights into the method and explain how to implement it.

Keynote Speaker: Niko H. Kaden - Chapter President of IMA Germany

Presentation: Corporate (Performance) Management with Best-Practice EVA

Date: June 29th, 2016

Time: 6:00 pm

Location: PricewaterhouseCoopers AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, Bernhard-Wicki-Straße 8, 80636 München

Registration: https://regionaleventwitheva.eventbrite.com

Non-IMA Members are also welcome! Participants earn 2 hours of CPE credit.

I am very much looking forward to meeting you in Munich!

Best regards,

Florian Kohfink

Regional Coordinator Munich of IMA Germany e.V.
